Based right here in Manhattan Beach, Derek leverages over 20 years of design experience to transform exotic hardwoods and white birch panels into vibrant representations of coastal life. His signature style brilliantly juxtaposes dramatic black-and-white photography with bold, saturated shapes of color that perfectly capture the energy of our community.
In addition to custom abstract paintings, his studio offers premium wood-framed giclée prints featuring iconic Southern California surf scenes. We cannot wait to see thousands of runners wearing his celebrated coastal artwork this year, and for many years to come!
