Run Your Own Race: 10 Days of 10k!

Run Your Own Race

We are super excited to hear how you will make this 2020 Special Edition MB10k special to you and yours!  Will you do the official current course? What about doing it in reverse? The Old Pier Finish Course?  Mix it up and do 5k on the sand and 5k on The Strand? Go for a big challenge and run a 10k in the soft sand? Run while you are up in Mammoth, or from where you now reside in Arizona? Do a sunset run? How about for our International friends: will Windsor Palace and Big Ben be the course for you this year?  Perhaps you're more into a family affair and are going to walk 1k a day for 10 days with your young kids? The possibilities are endless!! Please send us an email and tell us your plans and don’t forget to share your pics on social media and tag us. We have several hashtags you can choose from: #mb10k, #10daysof10k, #familyteam, #runyourownrace, #runmanhattan

10 Days of 10k

The timeframe for this year’s MB10k can take place anywhere between October 1 through October 10, in Anytown, Anystate, and Anycountry you choose - it's all up to you! You have ten days to complete your 10k, choosing to run it in one outing or over the course of several days. The only thing we ask is that you follow all local guidelines for face mask requirements and practice responsible social distancing.

MB10k Race Courses

For our local yocals, please visit the Course page on the website. There you will find the current race course that is USATF certified. Coming soon, you will find an MB10k Course Fly Over from Slick Haus there as well. Or, if you are feeling extra nostalgic, you can run the original course that started things off for us in 1978, which is located at the bottom of the Course page. We love the John Post picture above that shows the loop around the Manhattan Beach Pier and Susie announcing from the lifeguard tower. Those were the days!

THE MB10K IS A NON-PROFIT EVENT AND THE PROCEEDS ARE DONATED TO COMMUNITY FITNESS RELATED CAUSES & SCHOLARSHIPS.  THE RACE COMMITTEE ORGANIZERS AND RACE STAFF ARE VOLUNTEERS.
