The 40th Birthday of the Manhattan Beach 10K Run took place on Saturday, October 7, 2017 and we’d like to give a big thanks to all those who participated in it!

Two Ongoing Promotions!

Tabula Rasa has commemorated our 40th birthday with bamboo coasters with images of the races since 1978. Coasters are $12.00 each and a portion of the profits will be returned directly to the #MB10K to support scholarships & community fitness-related causes. You can special order any year of the coaster (they need a minimum of 4 if they are out of stock.) Stay tuned for holiday ornaments arriving at the end of November!!

Village Runner, Manhattan Beach is also offering a special promotion for our 40th now through October 15, 2017. For every gift certificate purchase of $140 or more, they will donate $40 to the Mira Costa Cross Country program.

Bib Number Pick-Up at Village Runner, Manhattan Beach:

HAVE YOUR REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL READY TO SHOW THE VOLUNTEERS AT THE STORE.

Please make sure you have fully read your CONFIRMATION EMAIL and bring a copy with you for pick-up. If picking up for another, you will need to have a copy of theirs as well. Your confirmation email is necessary when troubleshooting any problems that may arise when picking up your bib number.

1840 N. Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach
Hours: 10 am - 7 pm Thursday & Friday

*Those who pick up their bibs on Thursday, October 5 will have a chance to enter a raffle - several prize levels including a Village Runner $100 Gift Card! Raffle winners will be announced after the race via email. See store for more details/rules/restrictions.

Race Day Bib Number Pick-Up *

6 - 7 am
On Veterans Parkway/Greenbelt near the starting line
Look for "Number Pick-Up" signs near 2nd/Ardmore
Please read and BRING YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL (printed or electronic)

*NOTE: IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PICK UP YOUR RACE NUMBER IN-STORE PRIOR TO RACE DAY. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO RACE MORNING PICK-UP, YOU MUST ARRIVE BETWEEN 6 - 7 AM. THE RACE STARTS AT 7:30 AM SHARP.

Timing mats cannot be left on indefinitely because of how our course doubles back on itself.

New Awards Stage & Ceremony

The NEW Awards Stage will be on MB Blvd, near Shellback. Timing Company willing, the Awards Ceremony will start at 8:40AM. First through Third will be announced. All others (4th through 10th) may fill out a Recognition Request Form if they would like to be recognized from stage, and we happily announce those individuals on stage as well. Those who place who would simply like to pick up their medal and leave are free to do so at the awards table. We hope to do the same for Teams and 200 lb Division (timing company willing!)

After race morning, all unclaimed awards will be at Village Runner, MB for 1 month after the race. After 1 month, unclaimed awards will be recycled for the future. No awards will be mailed.

Awards will NOT be available at the Hometown Fair. Results only will be posted at Fair.

We appreciate your patience with this new system. Any changes to the above will be announced at the awards stage on race morning.

Once again we have teamed up with local Manhattan Beach and South Bay businesses! They have generously offered incentives to our racers during the weekend of the Manhattan Beach 10K Run and Hometown Fair. Any MB10K race participant can visit the following local merchants on October 7 & 8, 2017 with their bib number and claim what they are offering. We hope you enjoy the special deals as you visit!
